Day 1

HOMALIN

Transfer:

PLEASE NOTE: The itinerary for this expedition is subject to change. We ask you to be flexible once you book this cruise as the areas you travel to are very remote.
Today, in the morning, we will transfer you from your hotel to the airport for your flight to Homalin. Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport to transfer to the jetty to check-in. Sailing all through the afternoon in the Chindwin River.

Day 2

NAGALAND

Journey north on board to reach the off beaten Nagaland. See the Naga tribe people here and learn about their cultures and enjoy their curious and friendly welcome. Return back on board for your journey.

Day 3

KHAMTI

Today you will near the mysterious Nagaland. Arrive in the afternoon in Khamti, also known as “the land of gold” with the gold rush that used to attract people to move here. In the town, you will visit some local house to learn about the Tai language.

Day 4

TOUNGDOOT

Taungdoot is an old ancient capital that even during the first Anglo-Burma War there was still a ruling royalty and palace in place. Here visit the town you can learn from our guide about the rich history of the secluded town. 

Day 5

SITTHAUNG

Transfer:

Sitthaung in the graveyard of the few ships that was purposefully sunken by the British during the World War II so that the Japanese couldn’t get their hands on them. As evidence, the town here are full of colonial building as Irrawaddy Flotilla Company’s old offices still remains here.

Day 6

KINDAT

Make our way slowly to Kindat (or Outpost in Burmese). Visit the town famous post office converted to school that was built from the colony era. We reach Yuwa later where you can mingle around with the locals.

Day 7

MAWLAIK

Transfer:

The morning will be dedicated to a visit to Mawlaik – the former headquarter of the Bombay Burmah Trading company and old retreat for the British. The town has a green golf course surrounded by “Dak Bungalows” from a forgotten time. Afterward, we will reach Kalewa explore the small markets and charming little wood buildings.

Day 8

KALEWA

Today, disembark from the ship and transfer to Kalay Airport for your flight to Yangon or Mandalay.
