This morning, you will transfer to the airport in Yangon for your flight to Sittwe- a city and district in Rakhine State. Sittwe is a port city on the Bay of Bengal at the mouth of the Kaladan River and was an important trade center during colonial times. For most travelers, it is a stop-off point on their way to Mrauk U, but its sea views over the Bay of Bengal, markets, and spicy local dishes are interesting diversions.
Upon your arrival in Sittwe, transfer to your hotel and check-in. After a short break, set off your journey to explore Sittwe. As the sun shines its last rays, take a walk down the riverside to delve into the colorful life of the locals who flock together to sell local snacks.
